John F.  Kennedy  was  elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham  Lincoln was  elected President in 1860.

Both were  particularly concerned with civil  rights.
Both wives lost their children while  living in the White  House.

Both Presidents were shot on a  Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the  head

Now it gets really  weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named  Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named   Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by  Southerners.
Both were succeeded by  Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew  Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in  1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy,  was born in 1908.


John  Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born  in 1839.   Lee  Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was  born  in  1939. 



Both  assassins were known by their three  names.
Both names are composed of fifteen  letters.

Now hang on to your  seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater  named 'Ford'.
Kennedy was shot in a car  called ' Lincoln ' made by  'Ford'.

Hair Cuts!

My Uncle Larry ( also my godfather ) gave all us kids a wonderful hair cut on Sunday! I LOVE my hair, and I think all the kids do as well! He also generously gave us some shampoo, conditioner, and some really yummy smelling hair products! :)

Mindless . . . Wednesday

Well today I am just gonna start writing, about what I look like, am feeling, etc.. I am wearing my school uniform, it is 6:51 in the morning, and I woke up at 6:30, because I wanted to go on my blog and schedule some posts, because this week has been SO busy, and I will be busy every day after school with homework, babysitting, and sports, etc. so I won't have time to update my blog as much as I used to.But   am really happy for school, because it is going AWESOME!  have ALL my afternoon classes with three of my best friends, but not Andrea or Annie.  :( I am kind of tired, too. haha. In the garden, the pumpkins are still underground, but they should be popping up soon. I am excited to go on vacation this weekend for 5 days to Lake Chelan! :P I am reading a REALLY good book called " Summer Camp Secrets ", and it is awesome so far, and I am also reading " The Story Of A Soul " about St. Therese of Lisieux, my all time favorite saint, and that is wonderful so far. I just found out that in library we are reading a book called " The Storyteller " and it is very interesting so far, I really like the writing. 

First Day!

Today was ( As you know ) the first day of school! I didn't get Carolyn :( or Andrea :( in my homeroom classes, but I DID get Claire Varden and a couple other good friends in my homeroom, which I am happy about! I got Mrs. Dolezal, a really fun and awesome-super-cool-reader just like me, and she knows a lot of good books, which I am so happy about! I got Mrs. Liley ( a 7/8 homeroom teacher ) for math, which I REALLY wanted, so I am happy about that as well! I got Mrs. Burnaby for Social Studies ( History) this year which I am also excited about, and Mrs. Brooks for religion, which I am very pleased at! I also got Mrs. Liley for science, but during the year it will rotate between her, Mrs. Vance, and Mrs. Hendricks for science, then her and Mrs. Vance for CAMP THIS YEAR WOO HOO!!!!!!!!! I don't know about schedules for Andrea or Carolyn being the same, but me, Kerri, and Claire have ALL our afternoon classes together!

SCHOOL SCHOL SCHOOL!!!!

I cannot believe school actually starts TOMORROW!!!!!! I am really nervous, excited, and jumpy! It seems like the summer went by SO fast! I promise to give all of the details, including " What friends of mine are in my class, who I have for a teacher, and who I have for all of my other classes!

Funny Friday

Back to School Night

Tonight is "  Back to school Night " just for the new students. Members of the Service Crew get to help set up chairs for everyone, and give the younger kids into the swing of St.Vincent's and show them around everywhere.  To get into the Service, Spirit, or Dance crew, you have to have good grades, answer some essay questions, and give a report thing to 2 or 3 teachers to see if they would recommend you. Spirit Crew helps with Field Days, Spirit Week, and Spirit Assemblies. Service Crew helps count the cons for the penny drive, set up chairs, help organize food for the food drive, and help with things like that. Dance Crew is for 7th/8th grade only, and they help set up the Junior High dances. You also have to be in 5th grade or above. I am in Service Crew, and I think it is REALLY fun! And I am also excited for tonight. :)

Mindless Monday

I am feeling : Surprisingly, not very gloomy because it is raining right now. It almost feels like fall, and I LOVE fall. :) It may thunderstorm later. :) Plus I am not happy about soccer practice tonight. I am actually excited to play and stuff, but not excited for being kicked around by the coaches son. :( But today has also been an organizing day around the Curran's house, and we have been getting school supplies and uniforms ready, as well as labeling everything and getting it in order. School starts in one week!!!!!!! I cannot believe it. Summer went by WAY too fast, but I have always loved the beginning of the school year, with new teachers, schedule, and supplies. I know, it's weird, but I have ALWAYS looked forward to buying new school supplies and organizing it all. I also got a new backpack, and the most ADORABLE lunch box in the world! Also this year ALL of the kids except Lucianna and Annelise are going to be at school. I will be in 6th grade, Anne Marie in 4th, Mary Catherine in 3rd, Arianna in 2nd, John Mark in Kindergarten, and John Luke attending preschool! Well, now it's time to go to soccer, so really quickly : I am wearing Adidas soccer shorts, and a pink t-shirt....and right now I am listening to the hustle and bustle in the kitchen, and I finished the mother daughter book club first two books in two days, I actually re-read them, can't wait to do it with the next one- I am NOT kidding, they are literally the BEST books in the ENTIRE world. I would LOVE to start a book club! Well, gotta head to soccer . . . good bye for now. :P :D :) =)

Painting Fun

Today it was super nice out so we did watercolor painting! Later tonight we are having an " art auction ". I guess the kids think that they are going to get 20 bucks for a picture of a flower  . . . they are in for a surprise lol.
