Christmas Over the years...

Every year in our family, we get an ornament that fits the whole family's names on it. Over the years, it has gotten really hard to find good ornaments, ut we always manage. Here are some of the ornaments.

this is definitely my favorite one.   :)

Decorating!

Well I hope that everyone had a simply fabulous Thanskgving, I sure did. The next day, black riday, we went christmas Shopping! I got some good deals and a whole bunch of lip gloss, lotion, and bath googies at bath and body works, an adorbale gray and purple tee along with a really cute winter hat at Aeropostale ( I got gift cards from two good friends for my birthday to those two stores)  and I got some really cute stickers and paper at Joann's, along with a good book to keep me busy, as it is 5 novels in one, over Christmas Break and over the next two weeks. Today we have just been hangin around the house, and I have been working hard on organizing, sorting, labeling, and putting-into-photo-albluming- with christmas cards from the past 7 or 8 years...the hard work sure paid off! I got a nice pay, and now we have a really awesome Chrismas alblum with all of our past christms pictures from people. Here are some pictures of us decorating around the house, and Thanskgiving dinner.

Decorating the " Kids Tree" , a mini fake tree that we have in our computer/living room.

this is a beautiful painting on the wall that I did of a Christmas Tree....Just Kidding! It is a peel off that we use every year.
 December calendar!

 Mmm...thanksgiving food
 Candles on the table
Champagne! no, just kidding. It is sparkling cider, which I think all us kids like a lot better.   :)
 Gathering around to say prayer
 God Bless the cook!

Decorating for the holidays! And other holiday cheer, wishes, and lights on the tree.

Ahhhhh. the holiday season is here, finally! The christmas music is on the radio, we are practicing songs for our chritmas concert in a few weeks,  our tree is up,we have been decorating our rooms constantly, kris kringles in our house are making gifts for eachother, lights are being strung around the house in garlands, Starbucks peppermint mocha has been making quite a few visits to my lips, tomorrow is Black Friday with lots of shopping to be done, chritmas parties are being planned for me and my friends, caroling dates are being set, christmas presents are being bought, christmas movies are being watched, and just the plain old holiday cheer is in the air! I LOVE Christmas and Thanksgiving, but mostly the time in between. I love the cheer of the holidays, and  just thinking about chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at my nose, decking the halls with boughs of holly, and having a holly jolly chrismtas while rocking around the christmas tree! I know I know. Today is only Thanksgving, but as I said before, you can tell holiday cheer is in the air! Happy Thanksgiving! ( And I do have pictures of us ecorating the house that I will put up)

Thanksgving

Happy Thansgiving! Tonight my family and I are going to go to my Aunt Laura's house for bingo with prizes ( chocolate, gift cards, money, and more! ) and to watch the " Annual " Polar Express movie as we always do. As for Turkey, cranberries, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, we are doing that in the heart of our home.  Yum! I made this delicious bars called Chubby Hubby's ( haha ) which are bars with cookie dough on the bottom without the chocolate chips but with pretzel pieces and mini mini reece's cups, then a layer of melted caramel, then a layer of melted chocolate chips, which is now all hardened- yum! Well, I am thankful for SO many things, including...

....my friends, you put me up when I am down, and are always there for me when I need a laugh. When I am with them, there is always giggles in the air and a fun time guarunteed!

....my home and clothes, along with any other items I have. The lord has blessed me with a home along with a family that lves me, I am thankful for that so much!

...SO many other things. From my education, to food, to kris kringles,to my faith,  to snow days, to hot chocolate, to sleepovers with cousins, to little adorble babies,to troops that will give their lives for me,  to leaves in the fall, sunshine in the summer, snow in the winter, and flowers in the spring, and all the other amazing gifts I have recieved in my lifetime!
I may or may not have pictures...
Thank you God and everybody else!

I loved loved loved blogging, and still do, but I cant really fit tim in for it anymore, so I am only going to post rarely when I do have the time, like for Christmas and big things like that. I am still doing photography, ( :)  ) and am still continuing soccer, but I wont be able to blog as much. So, so long for a while until I can pick the speed back up.  :)

Mindless Monday

In the world outside the front door

Well, yesterday's soccer game was pretty rainy ( My body was numb from head to toenail- I couldn't even open my water bottle! ) and it was a very downy day! I expect rain for the rest of the week, but at least it isn't snowing like it is in some places!

I am listening to

At this very moment an Adventure in Odyssey called " A Penny Earned " and to the kids playing the the front walkway of our house.

I am wearing

My hair up in a side ponytail, Aeropostale comfy shorts, and a blue shirt with a moose on it.

I am so grateful for

Christmas/Thanksgiving time and the spirit if the holidays even though we ain't quite there yet.

I'm pondering

Some nice things to get for my Kris Kringle or you may call Secret Santa in our family. Although don't let that name fool you. The " secret " part of Secret Santa doesn't stay that way for long in our family. I think this year we broke a record of a half an hour without telling everyone who we had.  :)  I have already written my Secret Santa, Arianna, a couple of cute notes that are goofy, which she likes and when she started reading the first one started cracking up until she finished " Love, Jerry. " Hee Hee!  :P

I am reading

A book called  " Emily Windsnap and The Monster In The Deep " and a book in The Molly Moon series. I just finished a book called My So Called Family, which was pretty good. The author was kind of drab, though, sort of a every - day- life -that- I- could -have-written-as-good-or-better book...hahaha.

Around The House

Today we had a family meeting, and started new jobs, picked our Kris Kringles, started this new thing called " Christmas Coins " . It is a system where we earn coins by doing acts of kindness or doing things with a great attitude, and we put our initials on it. At the end of the week we put them all in this box, and my mom will draw names for different things like a day out with mom or dad, a piece of candy, or each one 25 cents.  Yesterday I sprained my wrist, and I hope this week goes by fast because Thanksgiving Break is next week!

Chao for now,
MG

Wordless Wednesday

Happy Birthday Dad!

My dad's birthday was on Sunday, but I haven't gotten a chance to blog about it. It was a really nice day, in the morning I altar served at 8:00 and then my family went to the 10:00 mass.  Then we had a brunhc, and my dad opened his cards. I helped the younger kids make a book of all of the things they loved about him, and drew pictures that were just an outline, and then they colored it in with crayon.  They worked really hard on it, and it turned out to be a great success! Me and Anne Marie had a soccer game that afternoon, and then when we came home we had a nice dinner, then played some games at night. Happy Birthday Dad!

    Conference

This past weekend our family had the chance to go to a Family Conference at Holy Family Parish in Kirkland. Last night we listened to two talks, one given by a very sweet lady who was also my favorite talker named Mary Bielski from Indiana and another talk given by a guy who's name I forgot. This morning we ( we meaning The Jr. High ) listened to two talks as well, each about an hour long, about defending our faith by a man named ughh I think it was something Coffin ( haha funny, right? ) , and about challenges teens face these days by Teresa Tomeo, a national speaker from Michigan! . After that we had lunch, and a break for a while. In the afternoon we saw this really awesome guy named Jim something or other, a.k.a. " The Spoon Man ". He was really awesome and he played the spoons, as in like a musical instruments! and that may sound lame or something, but it was actually really cool and sounded totally awesome! Next we listened to two more talks one given by Mary again, ( which was my favvvorritte talk! It was called " Take out The Trash" Or something like that and it was about how to be a good friend, and how to not gossip and be mean or talk aout people behind their backs. After that there was a very talkented speaker named Barbara something or another and she talked about Movies, and a lot of things about them, and also about video games. It was very interesting. So, that wraps it all up! While I was there, I saw Gillian Richards, a close friend of mine, and Audrey Collins, a seventh grader who goes to my school, also my friend. And my mother said that one of the mom's there said that her daughter, Sarah, reads my blog everyday -  :)  - so Hi Sarah! Anyways, I have to go so bye bye!

    Would You Rather

I haven't been doing many of these, so here are a lot. It was hard to find them, ( I found them on a website ) And plus I made sure that they were all clean. :)

    Would you rather:
Have the ability to fly, but not walk, or have everything you say come out as a song?
Be stuck in a line for seven hours, or clean a gas station restroom?
Have glowing purple skin, or glowing green hair
Have the long skinny body of a ferret, or the agile but warty body of a toad?
Have a name no one could pronounce, or a really bad nickname?
Live in the wilderness alone, or have a nice apartment with intrusive neighbours?
Have the sounds of pans banging together in your ears all day, or see yellow dots over everything you look at?
Be a love able orphan, or a spoiled brat?
Have a time machine you can only use for one round trip, or the chance to go into space one time only?
Have antlers like a moose, or flippers like a penguin?
Have the ability to read minds, but only the bad things, or know the future in perfect detail, but never be able to tell anyone what you see?
Live in a tree or live on a boat?
Have horrible dandruff, or unpredictably lose control of all of your body's joints?
Be able to walk through walls, or have impenetrable skin?
Be wrongly accused of a crime, or do something terrible and live with the guilt?
Be an old west cowboy, or a 1930s mobster?
Be able to breathe under water, or have wings?
Have the ability to convert your body to a state of pure energy, or be able to shape-shift into anything, but have it be painful?
Have one nightmare every time you sleep, or never dream?

    Funny Friday

If you have noticed, I have been using the titles from other day posts, and attaching them to other days, sorry about that. If I forget something, it won't be coming back for a while, and I HATE that, and since I am not blogging as much as I used to, this works best for me. Anyways, to get to business.

SCENE : At mass in the chapel at St. Francis hospital, everyone is giving out their prayer petitions, and it is Halloween.

My Grandma : I would like to pray for my son Richard, on his birthday, that he will grow in wisdom, knowledge, and grace. ( Isn't that cool ? A b-day on Halloween! )

My Uncle Con : I wold like to pray for the sick, the dying, the poor, the hungry, and those in purgatory.

My Grandma again : For all the trick-or-treaters that they have a safe night out tonight .

Now, John Mark was thinking " Well, Grandma and Uncle Con are both praying, so why can't I? "

So , he decided to do a prayer petition.

John Mark said: I pray that none of the skeletons come out of the graveyard tonight.

Hahahaha. When my mom told me that story, I laughed so hard.   :P :) :D

    Hope it made y'all laugh!

    Ahh!!!!

Okay, #1, if you were wondering, I am not hurt or anything. ( Don't know about you, but I would have gotten a little scared from the title! hee hee ) anyways, I have big news! I have changed my favorite drink at starbucks. I am now IN LOVE with The Peppermint Mocha, which is SO much tastier than the pumpkin spice latte. Last night after soccer my dad took me to starbucks to get a drin for my mom, and then he let me get a drink, and it was sooo delicious! It was like heaven a million trillion timeson earth! The rich, chocolaty flavor, sort of creamy and still liquid at the same time, along with a sharp tasting scrumptious mix of mint along with it, adding the perfect taste to a normal mocha, but not too strong. It was sooo delicious, and the reason I might be super excited is because I love love love chocolate and I love love love love love mints! My favorite ice cream is chocolate chip mint( hmm...I wonder why? )and my second or third favorite candy is Junior Mints ( sorry, Jr, mints, Butterfingers and Reese's butted you out! ) and did I mention? I LOVE chocolate and mint!! Yummy!

    Thursday Thing

This is from when we went to Leavenworth and Lake Chelan but I was just looking at old pics and decided to put these up! :)
    Luv lil' sis!

    Life's Little Pleasures

Well here we are again, folks at Life's Little Pleasures! I would REALLY appreciate it if you would give me some ideas or suggestions for this!!!!!!!!!!!!   :) :P :D

Here is one for this week :

Laughing hysterically with friends or siblings at an inside joke or something super funny that just happened, and having people walking by you looking at you like " You guys are totally crazy , and WHAT are you even laughing about?"

I sure have had that moment! And I really enjoyed it! Haha. :)

    Happy ( late ) Halloween!

Well I  hope y'all had a fine evenin' yesterday. I got a lot of candy when I went trick-or-treating with one of my good friends, Andrea. We went to The Ridge, a big neighborhood in Federal Way. It was really fun, and afterwards we went to her family's friends' house for a delicious spaghetti dinner, along with salad, garlic bread, and for dessert rhubarb pie and bakery cupcakes that looked almost as good as they tasted ( pumpkin spice, yum!) .  After that Andrea and I worked on some stuff, played with the family's dogs, Sadie and Max, and watched some football, and played upstairs in the bonus room, along with passing out candy to trick-or-treaters the whole time. At school, we all got to go in our costumes, and we had a Halloween assembly.  Mrs. Hallahan, Andrea's mom, took about a million pictures ( she is a REAY good photographer ) , and she will be sending me all of them on a CD, but I don't have those yet, so here are the ones we have on my camera. :)

The kids with some of our cousins before they left to go trick-or-treating

In the morning before we went to school
