Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day! Please take the time today at whatever time to remember the soldiers that went to war for us and gave their lives for us. This morning I went mass, and this afternoon we are going on a bike ride. :)

Sorry I haven't posted a silly story in a while , I am going to actually change it to "Funny Friday" , and do it on Friday...so until next week!

I would choose the past. Boy, there are A LOT of things I would change, hee hee.  :)

Girls Weekend

I just got back from the SUPER exciting and fun girl's weekend 2011! To start the weekend off, we went

        to Chipotle for tacos and burritos, which were super scrumptious! Then we headed to

                  Southcenter nails, not actually in Southcenter, though.  We all got

                               really cute designs, I got pink on fingers and toes, 

                   with zebra stripes in sparkly silver and black on the thumb and big toe.

          After that, we had planned to go to the hotel to settle in, but we went to the Nordstrom

Rack. I didn't get anything, but after that we went over to the Family Fun Center, where we got 400 

        points to use, we all got coins and played games, got tickets, and won prizes! We 

                     also went on some rides outside, we all went on this water spray

                                  ride that i didn't really like, but that's ok. I was 

                     The only one eligible to go on the go-karts, but I did it anyways, 

       which was thrilling, now I really want to get my driver's license! hahah. We also went

on a couple other things, like the bungee jump and this extreme swing, which I really didn't like and   

       off of immediately! hee hee. We -finally- went to the hotel after that and went swimming! Then 

                we went to Southcenter mall and went shopping, got makeovers at Nordstrom,

                           and ate dinner. I got some really cute summer tops and a comfy

                                    pair of shorts, and some hair do-dads. We then went 

                           back to the hotel for swimming, and then we watched the movie

                 Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2, Rodrick Rules, which was funny, but not at all

         as good as the first in the two. Then we of course went to bed, and in the morning

had breakfast at Panera Bread, and went to the movie theater at Southcenter to watch the movie Kung Fu Panda 2, which was surprisingly much better than the first one. I had SO much fun, here's a few pictures..

Pizza Night!

Last night at the Curran house for dinner we had a homemade pizza! It was ok..we might try something different next time..but we had fun making it anyways!

Girls Weekend

We have a four day weekend because of a inservice,  and of course Memorial Day! Every year me, my mom and my sisters go out for a weekend. We are leaving on Friday, and coming back Saturday, so I will have tons of pictures on Sat. afternoon. Here's what we have planned...my mom wrote it, you can tell because it sounds nothing like me lol.


11:00 hugs kisses, goodbye to 4 little ones 
11:30 Lunch at Chipotle at Southcenter
12:45 Pedicures at Southcenter Nails
2:00 Check in to Double Tree hotel SUITE...SWEET! relax, check out hotel, pool, elevator, grab a light snack.3:00 Family Fun Center... mini golf, go carts, bumper cars, laser xtreme....
5:00 Dinner  surprise!
6:00Make over at Nordstrom
6:30 shop til we drop at..... Bath and Body, H& M, Fireworks, Paper Zone, Cyprus, American Eagle,
9:00 Cheesecake Factory....for cheesecake of course!
9:30 Swimming
10:00 Facials
11:00 bed....             
Saturday
8:30 breakfast at hotel
9:30 swim
10:30 pack up to check out
11:00 movie "Kung Fu Panda 2 (don't forget candy)
1:30 Lunch
2:30 home

Break!

I am going to be taking a break from blogging and not blog so much, only a couple of timont find anything nes a week. I think the days will be Saturday, Wednesday, and Friday or Monday. I might take turns with the days, so unless you haven't read all my posts, dont go on every day, because you wew! I just want to take a little break, and not have to go on and blog every day. I love it and all, but I just want to take a rest from it. :D

Silly Stories

Every few days or so, I will be posting a funny or cute story about something that happened in my family life, or at school. Here's today's :

At my school, we have mass every month. After mass is over, The principal hands out saint medals to those who celebrate their birthdays in that month. When she calls their name, they walk up and accept the medal and stand on one side or the other of the podium so at the end we can say a birthday blessing. Now my family usually goes to the mass, and they just happened to a couple weeks ago. Well, my 4 year old younger brother John Luke is all in to who wins and which whatever is longer,  bigger, stronger, etc. And  one side happened to have many more people than the other side, and John Luke saw that and said to my mom " Mom..hey mom! That other side is winning..you know. They have more people than the other side, they won! " 

Well, hope you like the example, and I hope there is many more to come in the future!

Popcorn!

Looks like my dad overestimated how much popcorn he was going to make...What I love about his popcorn is that he makes it on a stove, and not like the disgusting microwave kind..it really makes a difference and tastes SO much better!

Beginning of the year swim banquet...

Today their were sign ups for the Twin Lakes Swim Team! It took place at the Twin Lakes pool, and My family went after mass, so I didn't have my camera, and then we went home to get our swimming wear on but my dad dropped us off so I didn't get any pictures :( But we swam for about 3 hours and there was a BBQ which was super delicious, and we also got our new swim team shirt(shown below) and caps, we also got to see and swim with all our old swim team friends..practice starts in about a week and a half..I'M SO EXCITED!!!! I LOVE swim team, partly because it gives me something fun to do in the summer, but the whole family can do it, and it's awesome exercise and most of all, TL has overall THE BEST team spirit! GO PENGUINS!!! :P :) :D

Free Dress Week

As you probably know, the school I go to requires the students to wear uniforms. Well, at the spring auction there is an option for the parents to buy free dress for a week for their children later in the year. Well, my parents bought it this year, and yes us kids ( Me, Mary Catherine, and Anne Marie)have to pay for our share. This week is free dress week, and I'm SO excited! It may not sound like much to you if you are a kid who gets to choose what you wear every day, but it sure is to me and the other students who got it!

Train-thingy :)

Yesterday I created this little "ride" where I too ka play car, and tied a jump rope to the steering wheel, and jump ropes and scarfs to that, so I could just pull it. I started letting the kids go in it, and pulled them around the yard. Today we did it again, and I gave the kids the choice of one lap or two, then how fast they went, and how they were seated :) There was also the "Thrill Ride", In our backyard there are two sets of stairs going down to our 2 decks, and there is grass before you go down the stairs. I would pull the kids in the car where they would ALmost go down the stairs put I pulled them up in the nick of time :) They had a blast, and so did I!

Swimming

Today my family and my friend Andrea and I went swimming at Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club pool! Today was the first day it officially opened, so it was super empty! We stayed for about an hour, but we still had a bunch of fun!
