16. Get a job working for my Dad at Paladin
17.  Collect pretty seashells at the beach
18. Make a fun playlist for my iPod and go on a jog
20. Spend a day at the library
21. Try to blog once every couple of days
22. Get a good time on my swim races

Swim Meets

We have had two swim meets so far and they were pretty good, even though we lost both of them, haha. :) In the first meet I swam

- in the 200 medley relay 50 freestyle
- 50 free
- 50 breaststroke
- and 50 free in the 200 freestyle relay

In the second meet I swam

-In the 200 medley relay 50 backstroke
-100 IM
-50 butterfly
- and 50 free in the 200 freestyle relay

In the second meet though, I got bumped down to the B relay, which made me really mad, and I was like " What the heck?! You aren't supposed to change relays in the middle of the swim season! "

I really really REALLY hope I am in the A relay for the next meets

But I did pretty well, considering the fact I don't swim year round like most of the swimmers on my team.

Oh, and I was too lazy to take pictures, but maybe I will next time

And I got a new swim bag, woo hoo!!!!

Thanks for reading, and spread the word about my bog!!!!

This past week I went to volleyball camp at Kennedy High School! It was a lot of fun, and at the end of the week my team actually won the volleyball tournament! ( woo hoo! GO Thunder Rainbows!!!) During the week, we worked on a bunch of things, like

- Bumping
- Setting
- Passing
- Serving
- Hitting/Spiking
- A bunch of defense moves like
          - sprawls
          - pancakes
          - tomahawks
          - catch and throws
          - hitting with our fists
- Just playing the game of volleyball!

At the end of the week we got t-shirts, and we also got Kennedy draw-string bags and chocolate . :)

It was really fun overall!

Thanks for reading,

Girl's Night Out

This past Monday and Tuesday we went on a Girls Weekend out like we do annually, ( look for pictures last year in May) and this year we were going to go to Portland, but we went to Seattle instead. We have been to Seattle once for the Girls Weekend, we went for the first one. I would have rather gone to Portland, but whatever.

At the beginning, we went ot Southcenter nails on the way there and got our nails done, which we have done every year as a tradition. Then we drove into Seattle and got Chinese food for lunch, then went to the Curiosity Shop, which was cool. Then we went to the Pike Place Market and got donuts and looked at all of the cool homemade stuff.  Then we checked into our hotel, and walked around downtown and looked at shops. For dinner we went to this little shop, called the Dahlia Lounge, which my family LOVES, and we had dessert actually. We went to the Nordstrom cafe for dinner. Then the next day we woke up and walked over to this cute little shop called "The Crumpet Shop". I got raspberry jam on mine. :) After that we went to the market and got some peaches which were really good. Then we checked out and we went over to Volunteer Park and climbed giant trees as well as this water tower. It isn't like the blue ones, it is like an old brick tourist one, that you can actually climb from the outside, but that is really dangerous so we didn't do that.

Here are your pictures!

Girls in Heels

When we went to Nordstrom on the Girl's Weekend, Anne Marie, Mary Catherine, Arianna, and Annelise all tried on high heels....in the womens department. Imagine how that went. here are pics of the girls being goofs.

Haha .. :)

Space Needle

I took some really cool pictures of the Space Needle, because it was across the street (kind of )from our hotel. I took pictures of it all all different times of day, so that was cool too. Here they are

Hey!

Hey everyone right now I just got home from swim practice, and it's 11 oclock. I know, I get done at 9:30 and don't get back till 11. It's because all of my younger siblings have practice. We had our parent/kid meet last night, and our first official meet is next Tuesday at Kent.

Next week I am doing volleyball camp at Kennedy Catholic High School all week every day from 9 AM to 1 PM, and there will be a tournament at the end. I decided that I want volleyball to be my high school sport, not soccer or swim team, but I will still do swim team in the summer, and I will also keep running so I stay in shape....that is why I am doing volleyball camp now, so I can actually make the team in high school. Also, me and my friend Andrea are both on swim team, so after swim a couple times a week, we are going to be taking a couple of volleyballs over to the tennis courts at the club, and are going to practice our serves, bumping, spiking, hitting, setting, and other things. I am excited for that!

Also, I have been very busy reading a bunch of books, I have a big stack of them by my bed.....

Right now I am too lazy to go get my camera, but I do have pictures of a lot of fun things!!

So stay tuned,

MG

Hahaha

These are some goofy pictures of the kids.....they were playing with Arianna's glasses that she got for her birthday...confused? Look for yourself below.....

Haha I know aren't they funny? You would be surprised how funny it is when someone makes a face at you in these glasses....Anne Marie is really good at it. :)

Happy Birthday to Arianna!

Yes indeed. Today my little sister, Arianna, is 8 years old!!!! She is the fourth oldest in our house amoung the kids, and even though she drives me crazy most of the time, I still love her. :) My Mom and Dad this morning set a really cool table for her birthday, extra special because we are going to a wedding today, (I love weddings! ) and won't be able to spend as much time with her celebrating.

A-lways follows directions and rules, even if she wants to break them REALLY badly, she doesn't. Last year at Wild Waves Mary Catherine, Arianna, and Anne Marie went on some water slides. Mary Catherine and Anne Marie went twice-they were only supposed to go once. Guess who didn't follow her older sisters?

R-emembers EVERYTHING. Sometimes we are in the car, and she tells my mom something like "Mom, you said last week that we could go to Menchies if we were good.....we didn't go. We have to go TODAY because you said we could and we DIDN'T." Or she'll say " Mary Grace, remember on Christmas Eve, ( now keep this in mind that this was last week ) you said that if I could carry you on my back across the room, you would give me a dollar. Well, it's time to pay up. "

I-dependent. She will always go into the store if mom asks her, and buy a loaf of bread-with my mom's debit card! She will go on the Timberhawk, or down a giant water slide all by herself, she will be the one who goes outside when there are spiders crawling all over the ground, rain coming down, lightning in the sky, and giants walking all over the place to get the mail..well maybe, with some persuasion. :)

A-lways a help to her mom. She will do anything mom asks, even if she doesn't want to, and will help watch her younger siblings, and will help organize books, and even this year she wrapped her own birthday presents!

N-umbers. She loves figuring out money equations, and adding and subtracting, and figuring out time problems. One time my dad was in the car with various coins, and all of a sudden, Arianna starts adding them up and giving him answers! Another time, she said"There is 60 seconds in a minute, you know, Mary Catherine." And Mary Catherine says, "Nuh uh. There's a hundred. Duh. " and my mom said " Mary Catherine, there is 60 seconds in a minute, not 100. I think you are talking about money. " Mary Catherine was embarrassed. :P

N-otices. She always notices everything, every small tiny detail, and has something to say about it. She can notice that my door is closed when she walks up stairs, and she'll start knocking really hard and saying" Mary Grace? Why is your door closed? I was just walking up here, and your door is NEVER closed. I bet you are wrapping presents for me. I bet you are. Cuz why else would you have your door closed. Come on Mary Grace, I know you're in there. Just tell me. Are you wrapping presents in there? Cuz I have a bunch downstairs, and would LOVE to add to my collection. And you haven't put your present in the pile. Mary GRACE! ANSWER me. I know you are wrapping me presents. Mary GrAAAAAce. I know. You. Are. Wrapping. Me. Presents. Because why else would you're door be closed? Oh, I know. I bet you are doing homework. But on the day after the last day of school? Nope. SEE? You are TOTALLY wrapping me presents. Are you done in there yet?

A-thletic. She does various sports, like swimming and soccer, and my dad says she has the best baseball swing in my house out of all the girls. :) And part of what makes her a good athlete is she is determined!  One time during a swim meet last year, there was a false start, which means that you aren't supposed to go, or it was an accident. Well Shayna, a girl on my swim team, didn't know, and went all the way to the end. Everyone the whole time was like" Oh, NO. This is going to take forever. LITTLE GIRL! STOP SWIMMING!!' Ugh. " So the race was actually a relay, and Arianna was at the other end of the pool, waiting to go. So when Shayna touched the wall, everyone was so happy and thought that now, they could start it all over. But no, Arianna was so focused on getting to the other side that SHE WENT OFF THE WALL AND STARTED SWIMMING TOWARDS THE OTHER END!  You must imagine what the crowd was like THEN. So another girl on the swim team had to jump in and grab her so she would stop swimming. :)

So happy birthday Arianna! Here are the pictures from her party.....
