The Terrible Thing About Books....

I know, you might not imagine me ever saying that, right?

You thought wrong.

Well, I am a ginorrrrrmouuusss fan of books, but the problem is when you have 10 books that all are just calling your name, and you don't know what to do?!

That is my current problem. I have a bunch of books, ( including Heather Vogel Fredricks newest - and last :( - MDBC book, which came out a couple of days ago but I got today because I pre-ordered....actually my Uncle Bob did, for my birthday, so Uncle Bob if you are reading this thank you!!

But back to the problem.

So they are all calling your name, and you don't know what to do!!!

Here is what I did....

I took all of those great books that I want to read, and put them in a stack on my desk. I will name them below if you want to know what they are....but I have a book I am reading at school but I forgot the name, but it is pretty good so far and once I finish that book, I will choose the book I want to read next! I am actually the kind of person that reads 10 books at once, but I am really trying to break that habit :/ and it is really hard! These are the books...

(If you want to know more about them ask me, google them, or wait for a book review which I will probably be doing on a couple of them)

Kisses From Katie -By Katie Davis

Behind the Soiled Curtain -Dont know the author

The Time Travelers- Linda Archer

Son- Lois Lowry ( It is the sequel to the Giver, also by Lois Lowry and an absolutely excellent book)

The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict - Trenton Lee Stewart (I have done a review on the Mysterious Benedict Society and this is kind of like  a pre-quel)

Insurgent - Veronica Roth ( sequel to Divergent, an amazing book I read at the beginning of September)

Swipe - Evan Angler

The Fault in Our Stars- John Green (I heard this was a really good book, so I decided to get it)

Once Upon a Toad- Heather Vogel Fredrick

Wish You Were Eyre -Heather Vogel Fredrick

I am especially excited about the Heather Vogel Fredrick ones, but the other ones all appeal to me too, so you will have to wish me luck!!

Thanks For Reading,

Book Review

I just read a book called "A Year Without Autumn" , by Liz Kessler. . It is a book for about 9-12 year olds, so I thought it might be a little young for me, but I actually really enjoyed it! I would recommend it for about 10-14 year olds. It was about a girl named Jenni, and her best friend is Autumn. It takes place where their families have been going on vacation for many years, and while on her way to Autumn's place, Jenni takes an elevator that takes her one year into the future. When she gets out she realizes this, and she also realizes that a horrible accident has happened. She takes the elevator farther and farther into her life, and she realizes that she must undo what has happened. This is a great book, very suspensful and thrilling. I finished it very quickly and thought it was an excellent book, very well written. It has some twists and turns, so be prepared for them if you read the book! I rate it 4 stars, ( It's hard to get a five with me) and I hope you also read the book!

Thanks for Reading! ( my blog, not the book)

Lucky Number 13

That's right. I'm 13. As of two weeks ago. September 28th. Day of my birth, folks. We celebrated by remodeling my room this summer, so I didn't get any presents. From my family. But I did get presents. From my class. Because I had a birthday party! And I took the courage to invite the whole class, because ya know that takes a lot of guts...my class is kinda wild. And it's also small, haha if you go to a regular  middle school or Jr. High your grade is probably 200 kids or something, but mine is only 36 or something. Minus about the 6 kids who didn't come I'm estimating?

Anyways, it was a great birthday, and a great birthday party! We had a scavenger hunt/race at the mall, called the "Amazing Grace Race" ( because of my name) and it was a blast! We got split into random teams of about 5 or 6 kids, and surprisingly, ( or not) my team won! We actually got back to the house a good amount of time before the other teams, woo hoo! :) We won by getting Cold Stone gift cards -  score there! The rules ad things for the scavenger hunt are as follows:

The Amazing Grace Race
Rules:

Stay together as a group AND NO RUNNING

Unless stated differently, a task has to involve all your team members

Points will be added for every successfully completed task: A bonus point can be given for style or creativity

A point will be subtracted for any messes left behind or any craziness during the task

You can do the tasks in any order... AFTER YOU COMPLETE FOUR TASKS, EACH TEAM MEMBER HAS TO TRADE ONE SHOE WITH ANOTHER TEAM MEMBER

Your Referee will take a picture or video of you when/as you complete a task
Hint: think about LOCATION of tasks - you won't have time to go thru the mall more than once - YOU DON'T NEED TO GO PAST MACY'S

You have to stop when the Referee says so... Last one back to the house loses one point.
Ten Tasks in the Amazing Grace Race

1.  Make a pyramid anywhere you want (creativity gets a bonus point)

2. Take a photo of all of you IN a photo booth (not taken BY the photo booth)

3. Take a photo with Sponge Bob, the Cookie Monster and Shrek (hint: Scooby Doo loves THE VAN these guys are IN)

4.  Take a photo holding guns - one gun per team member (You might have to go on TILT to get this one done)

5. Put on a creepy Halloween Mask that you have to find by looking at the right Target! (Hint: it is WAY in the back corner of the store)

6. Take a photo going up an escalator - one team member per step (the Referee doesn't have to stay with the team members)

7.  When you are "In the Zone" or feel like "Champs" you have to let your voices ring by singing the Payphone chorus (The Referee has to get this on video)

8.  Get a free sample of food - one point for each free sample up to the total number of team members

9.  Put on a funny hat --- just to make it CLAIRE(clear, if you didnt catch that)  - each hat has to be different

10. BONUS: Get a Starbuck's cup WITHOUT speaking any words in English (the Ref has to get video proof) - each cup is worth one point

So there ya have it people. Since I didn't have my camera( bad Mary Grace! ) I didn't get any pictures of the scavenger hunt, and since most of the pictures my mom took of the regular party before and after have someone making a stupid face or something, I will only post a couple of pictures! :)

                                                           Boom Box!
                                                                       haha
                                                      The schedule and rules

Haha, Anne Marie wrote" Happy Birthday MG  " all over the car!
                                                 Me and my bestie Andrea!
                                                      Mrs. Gardner's group
                                                            My Dad's group
My group. :)

My Amazing Race Group- The Sonobello's, haha. :)
Me and one of my best friends Leanne
                                                    My whole class, haha. :)

John Mark's Birthday

My little bro John Mark turned 7 on October 3rd, and we celebrated by getting out of school early and going to Chuck E. Cheese. haha. That was pretty fun, and I spent a lot of the time helping my little sisters Annelise and Lucianna on the kiddie-rides, which was fine by me.

After that we went to the Nordstrom Cafe for dinner, but I wanted to skip the eating and go to BP (the teen section of clothes in Nordstrom) and go look-shopping, he he. :)

For his dessert, we had ice cream cake and ended the day watching The Middle, one of my favorite shows on ABC. :)

Here is a couple of pictures of us with the cake. :)

Sorry about my hair being a disaster...I ran downstairs after I got out of the shower and didn't have a chance to brush it yet. :)
Blowing out the candles!

Heyyyy

Hey Y'all! Some recent happenings in my life have been...

- My birthday! 13 woo hoo!

- John Marks birthday! 7 woo hoo! :) haha

- And those new features I keep forgetting to tell you about, lol. well since I don't need pictures for new features, I may as well tell you now! Yay! Fiiiiiinnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaallllllllllyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha.

So some new features are....

( drum roll please )

Oh wait. I forgot. I may have a couple more coming up later, because I have a list somewhere in my bedroom, haha. But without further ado, my new features!

- Y'all know how much I love fashion and buying clothes ( well maybe not, but I do. It is a frivilous habit and sometimes I think I could spend all day on a certain clothing website or at a store. :)  )
And every week I dress up for mass! and I usually take a picture of it. So I will be posting my weekly mass outfit, to show you my fashion sense. :) I will call it " Fashion....Fridays? No. Fiesta? No. Kay. I think I got it. Frivilous Fashion Fads. Yeah! Hahah it doesn't really make sense, but, whatever.

- I will also be posting about a new movie/book/song/artist/band I currently like. I will put as many as three per week, as little as 1. I will either write a review, put a picture, put a link, depends on whatever it is.

- I will be putting a totally random post up each week about..whatever. I look forward to writing these! You should have no idea what to expect, but that doesn't matter.

- And others...later. :) I am going to try to keep a more orderly schedule, but keep in mind that I have Drama Troupe twice a week, with a lot more homework this year because I am in Jr. High, and I am starting club volleyball soon! So much! But that's okay, I hope you read my blog nonetheless.

Please also keep in mind that I am dropping all of the Mindless Monday, Funny Friday, etc. That was last year, this is...this year. Obviously. And I will still be posting about the daily happenings in my life, too! So I am excited, and later this weekend I will try to post about My birthday and John Mark's birthday. I am also going Booing this weekend and am also going to Fright Fest, so I will post about those too.

I also have a couple of surprises up my sleeve, so be warned....muahaha.

Thanks for READING!!!

MG :)
