Massachusetts Part 2

Remember how I said I would give ya guys another post on Massachusetts? Well, I am pretty good at keeping promises. So, if you are a MDBC fan, then you know that those books take place in Concord. Guess what. My grandparents live in Burlington, which is about 20 minutes away from Concord. So OF COURSE I had to go there!!! So we went to Concord and Lexington, and although some of the things we did didn't remind me of anything from The Mother Daughter Book Club, many things did. Including

-Sleepy Hollow Cemetary. Yes, I did indeed have to walk all the way up to Authors Ridge and check out Emerson's big white stone. My family was like, "What is she doing?" Haha. But it was SO COOL to see "the place" where Cassidy scared the socks off of Megan and the Fab Four. Even though it's not actual real, it is to me, because Heather Vogel Fredrick makes everything seem so real in the books!!!

- The Louisa May Alcott Orchard House. I kept freaking out because I saw a bunch of souveneirs in the store that kept reminding me of things that happened in the first MDBC book! ( In the picture descriptions that I give, I will talk about those things that happened. :)   )

- I saw the Old North Bridge

- And all of the houses were really cool and old and Colonial, nothing like here in Seattle. It made me want to move there! I also saw a couple houses with turrets, which reminded me of Cassidy's house, but I didn't happen to see Half Moon Farm. :( haha. But All the time I kind of expected to see Mrs. Chadwick flouncing around or Emma and Stewart taking a walk with Yo Yo. :)

- Kimball Farm! I wasn't sure if I believed it when I saw it, but it is actually real! It's not an actual farm, but they do have delicious ice cream. :)

I saw this in a store and I really liked it. :)
We went to a couple of book stores, and I fell in love with both of them! I kept freaking out because of all the books I saw there that I wanted to read! :)

Mary Catherine very focused on a book. :)
The elephants trunk is the bookstore. :)
This is the sandwich shop that we went to, and I thought the names of these sandwiches were pretty cool.  :)

Ahh! the Orchard House! ( Also, they had a maypole in the front yard a couple days later when we drove past the house, hmmm....remind you of anything???? )
Thought this was cool, because of "Hawthorne"
The House. :0
Me and my little sister Anne Marie. ( I am the one closer to the sign)
Some journals. It even said a little thing about the Alcott sisters journaling, which reminded me of the Emma/Zach thing, haha. :)
Ahhh, who could forget the Walden Field Trip day from Much Ado About Anne? (SPOILER ALERT RIGHT HERE- ) And with Mrs. Chadwick storming into the pond, going to save her little Becca when the boat tipped over, even though the water was only a couple feet deep, haha. :)
Paper dolls! Little Women paper dolls! From Mrs. Delaney, remember? With love, from New York. :)
A colonial house I saw that reminded me of Emma's house. :)
Me at Emerson's Grave!!!! I half expected Zach and Megan to walk up the hill to this point and for Cassidy to jump out behind the rock with the pumpkin-hockey stick, hee hee.  :)
A picture or Lexington, it was raining. :(
A bunch of Louisa's books. ( Sorry about the coloring of the picture here and of the other one's from the Orchard House, the lighting in that place was absolutely awful! )
A mood pillow! They actually had those there, it was awesome! :)  It reminded me of when Emma got one for her birthday. :)

A flag that was actually of Emerson's house.
Me in front of the Sleepy Hollow sign.
The cemetary
Waldo's grave-thingy...haha

My family with my cousins eating at Kimball Farm. :)
Here is the Kimball Farm ice cream place! A site of so many MDBC memories :)

Look at how long the lines were! It is a very popular ice cream place, I guess. :) It was good, afterall. :)

Well I hope that you enjoyed looking at all of my adventures in Concord and in Lexington, because I had a bunch of fun going there and taking pictures for y'all to see. :) Thanks for visiting my blog, and feel free to go on it again or follow me! I would love it! :)

Thanks for Reading,

MG
