Lenten Retreat

Last Friday  I had a Lenten Retreat at my house...we did crafts, played games, prayed, performed and practiced very fun skits, and heard talks about God. Some girls from my classes came, and we had a BLAST! we made crosses with jems on them, and were going to put them in Hylebos wetlands park where we would pray the stations of the cross at the end of the day...but sadly, it was raining, and we had to do it at the church.:( oh well. Anyways, my dad gave the talks, one was on journaling,- which we got to make later and write in- he gave another one about your relationship with 

God, and then we studies a picture with Jesus on the cross. All in all, it was pretty fun, and heres some pictures...

The- Thing -in- the- Life -of- me-, Mg-Thursday

Hey, I am starting a a little thing where every Thursday I put an everyday random object I use and you can put comments on it, look at it, or anything like that! SO here's the first random item!!

these are magnets that are my famous initials, MG. I LOVE magnets, and have quite a few, but these are probably my favorite :) They have little jewels on them, and are hand-painted.  They click together in all sorts of different ways, and I can make quite a few letter combinations....

Springtime!!!!!!

YES YES YES!!! spring, the wonderful season of spring is finally here!!Just to let you peeps who are wondering why I am so happy, well, you should know that spring is my favorite season of ALL TIME. Even though birthday is in fall...just saying because most people's favorite season is the season that their birthday month is in so....anyways, i'm going to list my top ten favorite things about spring :)

1) Daylight Savings! SO much better then darkness at 4:00 :)

2)The Flowers! smell AWESOME! (my personal favorites are hydrangeas)

3)The Cherry Blossoms! I have a lot in my cul-de-sac, so I am  very happy :)

4)The bugs(not the spiders, the dragonflys and lady bugs and bees) haha

5) The raise in temperature, a GREAT change from the cold, even though it hasn't really hit, it's still nice to dream about since it's still pretty cold but will probably rise within a couple weeks(or months :)

6) I like the fact that it's not summer yet, but it's not winter either :)

7)I like waking up in the morning to the sound of birds chirping

8)I love finally being able to eat outside at dinner \

9)I LOVE going to garage sales, especially the Lake Taps one.

10) I like going on walks late at night, when the sun is setting, but it's light out.

LIMO ROCKS, Mary Catherine's Birthday!

For Mary Catherine's 8th birthday this year, she got some presents along with a limo ride we got at a Gloria's Angel's Auction like, 2 years ago. hahahah. Anyways, we got tons of attention getting picked up from school in it, and the ride was fun. We went to a couple fun places to get MC some presents, and then we visited my grandma, then we went to the spaghetti factory! It was really fun, and Mary Catherine got a cell-phone chain for her backpack and she thought she was going to get a cell phone but......no such luck. hahaha......

St. Patricks Day

Last week on St.Patties  day we had a mass at our school,and I read the responsorial psalm. At our school, each month a different homeroom class leads the mass, some kids altar serve,some kids read the readings, some say a prayer of the faithful, and others make a banner with the response or are door openers or bring up the gifts. There is enough jobs for everyone to participate in the mass, so everyone feels important.  We also got free dress afterwards if we wore anything containing the color of GREEN.At the end of the day we made sugar cookies with green frosting, and it was a great day overall! My mom attended the school mass to to my partake in it, and she brought the kids with her. Thankfully they were all wearing green, and they got their pictures taken by my mom....

Volleyball game

Last week my volleyball team FINALLY won our volleyball game!!!! We lost the first game but won the next two!!! yay!!! go stars! My mom took some pictures during the game of us serving, bumping, and sitting on the sidelines. :)
