Penny Drive

This week is the penny drive! Here is how is works.  Every morning, for the first ten minutes of every morning, all of the students go to all of the different homerooms and drop coins in all of the homerooms" coin buckets " .  Here is the trick- The pennies count for your classroom, and the silver coins count against your classroom. Members of the sevice crew count the coins, which is kind of hard to explain, and at the end of the day, whoever had the least amount of silver coins wins for that day, and whatever place they are in( 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. ) is the number of points they get. At the end of the week, the class with the most amount of points all totaled up from the whole week is the winner! The money goes to something the school needs, like new textbooks or re-doing the playground or field. Last years winner was Blanchet homeroom.  It is a great and fun way for students to give spare change to the school. :)
